1. Body Only: I can carve a body licensed or otherwise for a particular
brand or a newly shaped guitar with a bolt on neck pocket. Depending
on what body and what wood, the price varies but this is option one
and probably the least expensive. You simply take the new body and replace
the old one with your bolt on neck model at home. I prefer to do the
headstock of the guitar as well or add some unique ornamentation there
but it is up to you ultimately.
2. Full guitar with a known shape. I have templates for most Gibsons, Strat and Tele bodies and necks.
3. Radical Custom: Now this is where we put a guitar together and I draw out
a completely new shape based entirely around the theme the client and
I decide to pursue.
4. We can also NOT carve a guitar and just build you a custom shape.
We have various templates for older guitars as well and Dave and I can
whip something up for you there with a bit of paintstaking TLC involved
of course.
*Note: I no longer strip a guitar or pruchase one to carve. I work from unfinished wood, either made by me or purchased as unfinished parts. It's best for the guitar this way.
